Creative Supervision
Creative, Embodied, Transpersonal Supervision
I loved being a therapist. My training was not an effort. It was pure joy. And then, one day, something changed. I was tired. I did not want to continue being a therapist. How could I love it? I envied people in simple jobs. I was close to burnout. How to get out?

BREATHE IN...AND OUT...VISUALISE A SAFE PLACE...

I started to train as a supervisor, and I reminded me who I used to be as a therapist: my creativity using the miniatures of a sandplay, or letting a client hold my tai chi sword, or moving around the room and mirroring my clients' movements. My supervision model will be incorporating a lot of this (except the sword), and my practice is evolving as a result of my supervisory space.

I created a supervision model that will best speak to those who are sensitive, creative, and spiritual. It mixes serious reflection with playful explorations of fairy tales, metaphors, and movement to create opportunities for growth and insights. It shows you that supervision can be fun and enlivening, while still maintaining the depth and seriousness required for ethical and effective practice.

This is how:

-
Embodiment: Our bodies hold so much wisdom. You can discover hidden meanings in your sensations, just by being asked about how your body feels as you talk about something, or in front of a person. I would also share how I feel, what experiences in my body feel important to what is being discussed.

-
Creativity: Imagine being an animal, or an object, and talk to your client as that animal or object. Imagine you and your client end up in a desert island, how would your relationship look like? Gain awareness about the relationship that both you and your client are creating in a safe, non-judgemental space.

-
The Transpersonal: You can learn ways of protecting yourself and avoid compassion fatigue with energy techniques; you can share your spiritual experiences while at work without being met with judgement; and speak about your dilemmas regarding a clients spiritual traumas, such as not wanting to be born.

-
Muscle Testing: If you are an energy psychotherapist, energy psychologist, or use tapping in your practice and are open to explore muscle testing as an aid for supervision, we can both use it, and gain insights.

If you're ready to explore a more creative, embodied, and transpersonal approach to supervision, I invite you to contact me for a 15-20 minute free Zoom call.

I am currently training with the Gestalt Centre in London.

My fees reflect over 13 years of experience as a psychotherapist and several years organising and participating in peer supervision groups.
